eil Melanson (RMT & Co-Owner of Viva) is a Certified International Myofascial Release Instructor, Massage Therapy Instructor, and Osteopath (in study), and will be offering two one-day courses to Massage Therapists on February 16th and 17th.

Saturday’s course will cover Cranial Evaluation and Treatment of the Sphenobasilar Synchondrosis; Sunday’s course will look at the Sacrum and Innominate Bone. Focus will be on palpation, assessment and indirect treatment!

anuary is a time of new beginnings. The holidays come to an end, we go back to our regular schedules, and for most of us “the holiday hangover” kicks in.

We think back to the good times spent with family and friends, but also the baked goods, cocktails and extra servings that slipped into our diets over the holidays.

Resolutions

With our indulgences often come our resolutions. All at once we aim to eat less, exercise more, include more fruits and vegetables, get more sleep, drink more water and the list goes on and on. Where we run into problems, however, is that by aiming to change many things at once we often set ourselves up for failure. We begin the year with high hopes for making healthy changes and a few weeks in we feel defeated because we get back into the swing of life and our old habits hold strong.
